Think about how our physical bodies work. Of course, I’m nowhere near an expert on biology—and we have some in this room or watching online that are. Any good physician will tell you that they are not the healer - they simply help your body do what it is designed to do in healing itself. Medicines, ointments, shots all boost your body’s own mechanisms. Even surgery removes bad items from your body or quickly repairs major damage in order to allow the healthy parts to thrive.
The human body was created to heal. Adam and Eve’s physical body was designed to live forever. Before sin entered the world and contaminated the perfect creation, there was no sickness, deformity or mutation that harmed the body beyond its ability to heal.
Genesis 1:27, 31 NLT
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.”
Sickness, destruction and death are part of the curse. We’ve never lived in a world without sin. The only 2 humans to live in that world were Adam and Eve, who did so for a time - we don’t know how long. They didn’t need band-aids, moisturizer, vitamins or medicine. Their bodies functioned perfectly all the time - just as they were created to do.
Do you want to know what God’s will is concerning healing? Look at the places He created where there is no sin: earth before sin and heaven. Genesis and Revelation both depict God’s environment where He lives - what He designed - what His will is perfectly performed.
