John 8:32 (KJV)
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
I want to talk to you today about our enemy, Satan. What do you think of when I mention Satan? Believers fall into three camps when it comes to this topic:
1. They never think about the enemy
2. They think about him as an equal opposition to God
3. They understand how he works and resist him
Be honest, which camp do you fall in right now, this morning?
I Peter 5:8 NKJV
”Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.“
First of all we do have an enemy. He is a created being, created by God not as an enemy but as a being of light. The created can never be more powerful than the creator.
His greatest tactic is lies. The Word says there is NO truth in him. Everything he says is a lie and an attempt to deceive. He wants you to think that he is a powerful force that has to be constantly battled. He has used movies to make us think that evil is so great that it is overwhelming and that the forces of good struggle to combat it.
