Brother Joshua Boyd.
During my sessions the past few weeks, we have been focusing on love, God’s love. We read 1 Corinthians 13, what we call the “Love Chapter”, that ends with: 1 Corinthians 13:13
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
We’ve learned that our faith, the very mechanism by which God works and which comes from that same faith, needs to work through love.
Galatians 5:6
For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.
Last time, we saw love through the eyes of God’s love. This gives us a clear vision of God’s love: it obeys the commands given, and in turn Love expects obedience when giving commands. The Bible command us to:
1. Love the Lord your God
2. Love your neighbor as yourself
3. Love your enemy
4. Love one another (the Christian brethren)
