Disciples show fruit. That is the sign. Not how many years you have been a believer. Not because your parents took you to church as a child. It is when you produce results in the Kingdom.
John 15:9
9 “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. 10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
When we remain in Him and His Words remain or reside in us, then we are His disciples. What we say and do reflects our progress.
Another indicator of someone who is maturing in their walk with God watching their reaction to opposition and disagreements. This is important and the Word has commands for us when we are opposed. Your reaction to opposition determines your growth.
