Episode 11: Brandi, JAK Inhibitors for Alopecia Facebook Group

'My mother noticed a spot when I was 18 months old…’

Brandi has been navigating her alopecia even before she can remember; deeming herself a ‘lifer’ with this condition.

In this episode, she bravely shares her story of navigating this illness detailing numerous doctors visits, steroid injections, hair toppers, and the mental health battle we all know too well.

It’s safe to say that after all the hardships of trial and error comes Brandi’s new lease on life as of 2021.  Having been introduced to JAK Inhibitors via a medical trial in the U.S., Brandi has not only had success with the medication but has also regained confidence by supporting fellow alopecians on the JAK Inhibitors for Alopecia Facebook group.  She has been an admin for the past year and half and shows no signs of slowing down…

We are delighted to share Brandi’s story and be joined today by Tommy (IG: @travelingputtputt, Alopecia Connection Episode 8) who discovered JAK Inhibitors from this Facebook Group.
