Many, many years ago I came across a quote by Gordon MacDonald that urged me to look at leadership in a new way. He said, "A community will grow no higher than the quality of its leader." It bids us look around at the people under someone's leadership. Those cultures exist in families, in the workplace, in communities, and in whole countries. That quote says so much.
