I have always admired Mother Teresa and all she did to bring notice not only to the needs of the world, but our responsibility as human beings to respond to those needs.
Here is a quote by Mother Teresa that is one we should hang in a prominent place in our homes to remind us of our responsibility to humanity: "If you can't feed a hundred people, feed just one. Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest to you. Love to be real, it must cost - it must hurt - it must empty us to self."
There are people among us who exemplify what Mother Teresa is imploring of us. Today I'll tell you about one such person in my life.
