Isn't it funny when you become aware of something, you cannot stop noticing it, especially when it is not there? For example, when I became a professor and graded student papers, all of the sudden punctuation and misspelling, especially in newspapers or other publications, started irritating me. The same thing happened as we began emailing more and more. I had a colleague Sue, who shared with me how important she felt it was to make sure emails were well written. From that point on, I became more aware of those that were not well written. I hope that happens to you as a result of listening to this podcast. Emails are such a vehicle of communication, and communication always has the potential to enhance or harm relationships.
