Are you waiting for anything? Anyone? The dictionary describes the word "wait" as a transitive verb meaning, to stay in place in expectation of: AWAIT. As an intransitive verb it means, to remain stationary in readiness or expectation, to pause for another to catch up, or to look forward expectantly. I like the last one...to look forward expectantly. It's like peeking into the future, but expecting it soon in your present moment.
Why is waiting so hard? I think it is quite simple. We know the past, we know our present moment, but the future, therein lies a mystery. Waiting can hold a love/hate relationship within each of us. It also holds many outcomes...joy, relief, sorrow, patience.
What do we do with "the wait?"
Thanks for listening!
