We have so enjoyed watching our son, Andrew, and his partner, Lily, raise our grandson, Arve. One of the striking things is the way they have allowed him to learn how to make decisions from the earliest time he could respond to them during his first year of life. Lately, I have started to realize more and more what a strength that will be for him throughout his life.
The ability to make decisions can affect us in a host of ways. One of those ways is that it can help nurture resiliency within us and give us courage in our lives. I'm glad Arve is on that path! You can be, too.
