From 1993 to 1995, deaths at Vermillion County Hospital rose significantly and it was all that everyone that worked at the hospital could talk about. It was until the Supervisor of Nursing, Dawn Stirek, took it upon herself to start looking into patient and unit log records to see if she could figure out what was happening. She discovered that one nurse was present for about 90 - 95% of the deaths, Orville Lynn Majors. It would take a 2-year long investigation before Orville would be arrested and justice would be served after he was found guilty at the end of his trial. But how could he get away with this for so long and how was he killing the patients? Join us for today's episode to find out. So, grab your cafecito, and let's get started.
