In 1994, the United States Congress designates June as Men’s Mental Health Awareness month.  Now, almost 30 years later progress is made, but there is still a lot of work to do as societal stigmas regarding masculinity remain.  Narratives such as men don’t show weakness, don’t talk about their feelings, and don’t ask for help.  Unfortunately, this rhetoric is doing more harm than good, and the proof is in the pudding.  More than 3 out of 4 deaths by suicide involve males.  Knowing more than a few friends who die by suicide, John Moore, co-founder of Heare Brotherhood is out to make a change.   Their mission is simple, build a global brotherhood where men can safely support each other, and talk about their struggles.
