On June 17, 2015, a young, white man walked into Emanuel AME Church and murdered nine people after their Bible study. This conversation is with a family member of one of the nine people lost. We discuss the racial climate of Charleston, SC that led to the shooting. We also discuss the legacy of the Emanuel 9 and how the foundation is turning the 17th of each month into a day to celebrate their legacy.
