The farmers market builds community and increases education about eating locally and seasonally in North Texas, while creating economic opportunity.
Good Local Markets increases access to fresh local foods, creates jobs, encourages healthy social interactions, and supports diversified use of farmland. The markets have resulted in long-term direct-marketing opportunities for North Central Texas farms and food businesses, strengthening the local food economy.
