HUGE HLT thanks to everyone who braved the gale force winds and atmospheric river to witness our  COMEDY show on Friday. What a blast, this, despite our popcorn machine going down again. Stay tuned for the Plan P replacement news coming soon. Like tomorrow.

REBUILDING. After wildfires torch his ranch a cowboy sets out to rebuild his home and his life, centered around his young daughter, ex-wife and his community. Critics and audiences alike are praising the film’s calm and tangible pacing. Rated PG, 96 min.

FACKHAM HALL. A new porter forms an odd bond with the youngest daughter of a well-known UK family, as the Davenport family, headed by Lord and Lady Davenport deal with the epic disaster of the wedding of their eldest daughter to her caddish cousin. Oh My! More royal scandal.

ELLA MCCAY. From Writer/Director James L Brooks (Broadcast News, As Good as it Gets, Terms of Endearment) and featuring Albert Brooks (no-relation) a rom-com look at the modern world of relationships as families, friends and lovers try to sort it all out. Stars Emma MacKay, Woody Harrelson and Jamie Lee Curtis.

MARTY SUPREME. Listen up film fans: The following (from MARTY SUPREME) is a picture-perfect tag-line: Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness. THAT, dear friends, is pure writing genius, and the reason why tag-lines are so challenging. And let us not forget that Director Josh Sadie also helmed UNCUT GEMS. Stars Timothee Calamet, Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A’Zion. Should be fun.

LET IT SNOW - ROCK N ROLL - DEC 12 (another Friday). Billed as our CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, the night will feature the immense talents of TWO LOCAL BANDS, with Marcus and Heidi Kitley and company (including the recent addition of trumpeter STELLA SALEH) opening the show for headliners DANNY AND THE FIGGATONES. There will be special give-aways, sing alongs, slow-dancing and mistletoe, yet still suitable for the whole family! I can almost guarantee a magical night to remember, maybe even one that goes down in HIS-TOR-REEEEE. Tix here.

COMING UP in JAN. CELEBRATE! FILM and MUSIC. A two-night experience in homage of the music of New Orleans. Friday Jan 9, the screening of the award-winning doc UP FROM THE STREETS, by local filmmakers Michael Murphy and Cicelia Eberle (podcast coming on Wed) both of whom will be here to intro and host a talk-back afterwards. The next night is a celebration of the music that made the film sizzle as THE REAL LADY A brings her acclaimed band to the stage for some tasty R&B, Blues, Soul, Gospel, Jazz and Funk. TIX HERE.

MOVIE POSTERS are on-sale now as last minute stocking-stuffers. What was your favorite movie of 2025? Yes, I have one OBAA left. And one BUGONIA. (My one & two).
