There you have it!

Big HLT thanks to everyone who assisted in  creating the Common Ground Event last night. We had a packed house filled with altruistic and community minded (community meaning the global community) progressive leaders. An acre of well-enriched soil of important dialogue was exchanged, shared and discussed. As a vegetarian since Reagan's slime ball economic, political and social malfeasance (yesterday I researched who was behind the idea to tax one's social security - and guess who?)  I applaud all efforts to provide for our nutritional needs and not simply the capitalistic. Yo, rich fuckers (literally borrowed from Wicked Letters) wait till the day where you have to eat money.

A few movie notes, as I am feeling much better after unloading that diatribe.

The synopsis for THEY SHOT THE PIANO PLAYER:

(With appropriate small room echo) A New York music journalist goes on a quest to uncover the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of young Brazilian piano virtuoso Alberto Tenorio Jr. A celebratory origin story of the world-renowned Latino musical movement, the Bossa Nova, They Shot The Piano Player captures a fleeting time bursting with creative freedom at a turning point in Latin American history in the 60s and 70s, just before the continent was engulfed by totalitarian regimes.

"They Shot the Piano Player" is a tribute to the musician and to those who knew him best. See it more than once, and hope the theater plays it loud (I will) From OD Henderson at the Boston Globe.

And this on WICKED LITTLE LETTERS:

Director Sharrock and writer Sweet set well-timed wheels in motion to catch the perp in the act. Colman and Buckley show they’re both game and hilarious in this piece of forgotten history in a profanely prolific, poison-pen whodunnit.

How’s that for a little alliteration?

All for today folks, call me at 206.451.4336 and let me know your thoughts on any (or all) of the above. You can leave a message (private or otherwise) at out FB site linked below, or send me an E to Kevin@Farawayentertainment.com

Do you or does your group want to sponsor an evening of cultural exchange with all of us calling BI home? You do not need to be a musician, filmmaker or poet to see your message on our big screen and stand in the white hot spotlight with a live mic in hand. Call me to discuss how to capture the wild beast critically acclaimed as the power of cinema (and have your voice heard).

Peace, my brothers and sisters. Out.

Kevin
