I wanted to bring you the information I have learned from the sleep Maester, Dr. Michael Breus on the sleep science I have learned from his teachings and some strategies he recommends and of course, why all this matters. And it certainly does matter to our Project Weight loss and overall quality of life. I am sure you can agree that sleep is very important.
Here’s the deal, bad sleep, whether not enough or not good quality of sleep has been shown to negatively affect:
· blood pressure
· our heart, with heart disease
· a decrease in immune function
· diabetes
· increased pain, or pain stimulus
· cancer cell growth
· poor decision making
· libido and testosterone
· And last but not least, weight gain.
So, the big why for us is that Sleep is one of those things that when we don’t get enough, it will manifest itself in our weight, our looks, our health, and our overall viability.
