In this episode, we are tackling mom guilt. Mom guilt can be exacerbated when you have been criticized over and over again about your parenting by your partner, when you look at the effects of your children witnessing abuse in the home, or even more so if you are in the throes of family court with your narcissistic ex.
Brooke shares how we were set up since birth to focus on the “shoulds” and what it means to be a “good girl through conditioning". How we have a moving target of what it means to be a perfect mom that has real consequences in our lives from substance abuse concerns, isolation, and a loss of our sense of self. Remember that where you are at is an okay place to be.
