Xie Lian takes Qi Rong and Guzi back to his shrine to try and get Qi Rong out of the human’s body, but Qi Rong refuses to leave. Later, he returns to heaven for the Mid Autumn Festival. At the festival, he meets the god of the West Quan Yi Zhen, who is known for beating up his own followers. Afterwards, the Battle of the Lanterns begins, where Xie Lian wins first place with 3,000 lanterns lit by Hua Cheng. He returns to the mortal realm with Lang Ying.
