In the school, I am also involved in Student Ambassador Program as one of the few extra curricular activities. In that process one is sure to meet different people and in no time make acquaintances and that flourishes into a friendship . In the same process I met Baira, a second year student who is a very head strong girl and has a great personality. No hesitation in what she wants in life and what she wants to achieve in future. You would surely be inspired by her.
Baira, courageously and with without any hesitation was gracious enough to accept the invitation to be in the show. Being a second year med student, currently on a summer break with research projects, studying and vacation planning she took her valuable time out to be with us and shared her story how and why she chose to be a med student. What really inspired her to be in medical field is a story in its own but her real inspiration behind choosing Psychiatry as a residency right from the beginning post graduation is one of the most inspiring stories I have ever heard, the kind you hear or read in the story books. She was real and brutally honest in sharing the story that shaped her early beginning in her med school and fixing her focus and energy in Psychiatry. We also talked about her being from Sri Lanka and what and how she wants to help grow south asian community in her own little ways.
We wish nothing but the best for her future endeavors and we do not have a single doubt that she not only will be a very successful physician but also a beautiful human being. We wish and really want to talk to you again; real soon.
