Hey Y'all, welcome back to another week of being a tougher mother! Recently, I have been having discussions of death with my 5-year-old due to our hermit crab, Tator Tot, ascending to Heaven. The death conversation is definitely not an easy one to be had but at some point, it has to be done. I have chosen, in my parenting journey, to keep things as honest as possible from correct anatomy terms to what happens to our souls, I keep it real and directed to the age of my audience. This led me to think about how I have handled death and funerals on a personal level and as a stepmom. Should we be sending our kids (step or bio) to funerals of people they do not know as support to family? Hmmm... I do not know about all that!!!
