Legendary stand up man, Bill Hicks is our Mad Dog this week, he was one of the most intellectual, and influential comedians of the past 30 years.
Although mainly recognized as a comedian, Bill was also a modern-day philosopher, social commentator and all round #hit stirrer.
At the age of 16, while still in high school, Hicks began performing in Houston.
During the 1980s, he toured the U.S. extensively and made a number of high-profile television appearances, but it was in the UK that he amassed a significant fan base, filling large venues during his 1991 tour.
As an outspoken stand-up comedian with strong, unbending views on the most divisive of subjects, Bill was no stranger to controversy during his all-too-brief career.
Since his tragic death from cancer at age 32, comedian Bill Hicks's legend and stature have only grown.
His style has been admired, criticised, mimicked and often stolen but Hicks was truly a one of a kind comedy mad dog!
