Whooshamabobalythingy (new word), this is going to be an awesome journey with you and the Holy Spirit for me and for you. What? Yes it makes sense to me in my mind so let’s roll with it.
Who in their right mind would try to define what the purpose of the church is? Well Jesus did that's who. And He left us a manual in order that we build it according to it's instruction and examples. 300 cubits by 500 cubits...no not that kind of instruction. The kind that places people of systems, structures, and organizations. Now I know none of us were their walking with Jesus and His gruffly peeps that we could see the example, bring it back to 2022 and reproduce it whatever it was or is, but clearly there is enough written in the Bible to get us a lot further down the road than we currently are or is.
Now don't you have an aching down in the very soft gushy marrow of your bones for something more, right after attending your church? I have often left hungrier than when I showed up. And I know some of that is on me, I mean if I was walking in all that and a bag of chips (classic) then the anointing would have poured forth and flooded the whole earth with the delicious presence of God.
So but now this message series encapsulates my entire purpose and ministry. Some of it is just funs facts and beliefs that I have about God while others are designed to locate the issue and come up with a solution. A solution that I feel God is presenting to today's church.
Think you have the humility to enter in? Let me leave you with this one fact which is thoroughly explained throughout the message and that is that the church is not for the unbeliever to attend. Now if you’re tired of a no results church experience watching others do ministry but yet you do not even know what you’re going to be when you grow up, then enter through the narrow gate...and keep this in mind, I think Jesus stated the gate was narrow and even made narrow because of the condition of our minds and the difficulty we find as humans to change or to be challenged on a point we were sure would never be changed.
