Freedom from guilt or evil; innocence. What? You mean I am innocent and in right standing before God, now that I am an authentically born-again believer who among many other things, including the fact that I am a new creation, am also one who is pure? I’ll take it and leave the rest behind. This definition is so far from what I used to be, and not because I used to think so, but because outside of Christ, this is how God saw me. The opposite of pure.
