o   This means you will sing from your heart for eternity (your soul)

 2 Awake, harp and lyre;
 I will awaken the dawn!

-          To awake harp and lyre means you start playing these instruments & singing

-          I will awaken the dawn means you are going to do this first thing in the morning

o   In other words, the first you thing you think about is praising God early in the morning

o   If you start every day with this attitude and gratitude of the heart everyday will be outblessed by the Lord

3 I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples,
 And I will sing praises to You among the nations.

-          When you sing, this is what you should be singing about

o   Give thanks to You, O Lord

-          Among the peoples

o   This means in public view & hearing so others can see

-          And I will sing praises to You among the nations

o   This means not just once or twice in public view

o   It means over and over until the all the nations hear it

o   It’s a concert tour, an internet broadcast, everyone is invited

The idea is the praise & thanksgiving is a life’s work in plain view of all
