Description

Are you transitioning into a leadership role? If so, this podcast episode is for you.

In this episode, my colleague in the Coaching Group, Maz Antolin, and I discuss the transition from being a doer to becoming a leader. We explore the challenges that leaders face when moving up the ranks and delve into the fundamental differences between a leader and a doer.

We then discuss the balance between being a hands-on contributor and a leader, highlighting the insight that leaders should focus their efforts on finding great people, understanding their needs, and empowering them to accomplish tasks.

Maz and I then talk about the concept that everyone can do tasks, but not everyone can effectively lead others to accomplish them. Being a leader requires a shift in mindset, where success is measured by the success of the team.
