Frank Heibel, commonly known as Doc Frank, a very well-known consultant, trainer and conference speaker in the field of railway signalling.
Born and raised in Germany, Frank has a Master degree and Doctorate from the Technical University Berlin and since then he has been in the signalling industry for over 30 years. After 20 years of working for various global suppliers, Frank moved to the client side as a consultant for advanced signalling such as CBTC and ETCS, and has worked for landmark projects in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Since 2014, Doc Frank has become a brand name for providing training courses on CBTC and later ETCS, his famous “Kickstarter” trainings for railway professionals with or without prior signalling knowledge.
Frank lives in Perth close to the Sunset Coast of Western Australia.
