You’re in for a deep catharsis with this episode! Siri's cousin, Julia Thornton, is a true artist; always has been. Her words are pure energy healing. Julia shares a story of falling in love and a story of healing the Holocaust wound that is beyond profound.
Julia grew up in Hertfordshire, England. She began playing the piano at nine, and the concert harp at eleven. She attended The Royal College of Music and The Royal Academy of Music in London. Julia's music career took a diverse turn a few years later, when she began touring with iconic Brit Rock royalty, Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music. Since then, she has toured with many artists, and has been performing with the legendary Sir Rod Stewart as his resident harpist and percussionist since 2013. A highly creative individual, Julia is also an artist. She is an experienced Yoga and meditation teacher, an expert in personal healing techniques and energy work, and a qualified life coach. It is as a painter, that she has learned to unburden herself from the pressure and illusive search for perfection. Through art, Julia consciously searches for the flip side of the coin. Her paintings are an exploration into pure creativity, energy, and heart.
"I try to paint without a concern for whether I’m doing it correctly, without worry of the end result. I paint for the pure joy of playing with colour and form. Each piece is a journey of discovery in and of itself." - Julia Thornton
