Filmmaker Simbiat Hall graduated with honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and is also an alumna of AFI’s prestigious “Directing Workshop for Women,” “The Guy Hanks & Marvin Miller Screenwriting Fellowship” at USC and studied acting at HB Studios in New York City and with Sam Christensen in Los Angeles. Simbi Hall is the founder of Athena Films, a production company on a mission to spread enlightenment through entertainment. Ms. Hall is set to direct a feature version of her short film LONG STORY SHORT with Andrew Weiner of Inner Station producing. Simbi has also been developing a slate of projects with entertainment veterans Kevin Fox, Cheryl Boone Isaacs and Reuben Cannon. Simbi serves on the board of the Blackbird Alliance and the Alumni Council for the Almanack Screenwriters.
