Joan Pease MP was on my list of potential interviewees when I first started this podcast. She is an active in the community, and I always wondered what Joan's background was and how she got to be in politics.
I had a great discussion with Joan, where she shared her family history and grandfather's legacy as former Deputy Premier of Queensland in a very different time.
Joan's genuine love of family and community came through in our chat, as did her family values about helping others. She was living those values well before she became a Member of Parliament.
