Dee Hughes owns the Yoga Bayside studio, and has created a really beautiful and welcoming yoga and pilates space. She also has an amazing Irish accent and I have always been intrigued as to how Dee got to be teaching yoga in Wynnum. The conversation did not disappoint, with a back-story I did not expect.
We spent about an hour after recording chatting more, and I seriously could have recorded a part 2. Dee did share in the offline chat that the trigger for her to move from corporate world to yoga teaching was in fact reading Eat, Pray, Love. Side note, neither of us loved the book, but there must have been something in there that was enough to point Dee down the path she is now on.
