Welcome to Stop, SIS - a nonprofit dedicated to educating on trauma and trafficking as well as empowering those on the healing journey.
In this episode, we talk about how to talk to survivors. It's common for people not to know what to say or how to be helpful when we haven't had similar experiences. Our hearts are in the right place, however, our words don't always match our intentions. Rachel shares some of the things she has heard over the years that were not helpful, and offers some alternatives on how to talk to a survivor, allowing their voice to be heard in a safe space that fosters acknowledgement and validation for what they've dealt with, and often continue to encounter.
Thank YOU to our incredible donors! Because of your generous donations, lives are being changed and positively impacted in ways you may not even realize. Thank YOU!
Your support of Stop SIS makes life changing breakthroughs like this possible.
