We're recording this on Shubun no Hi (春分の日), or the Spring Equinox, which is also a public holiday in Japan! This week we talk about the arrival of cherry blossoms, sports day at school, and mask-wearing guidance being eased. We also got to try some new foods at an izakaya this week, including firefly squid, ochazuke (tea over rice), and bai-gai shellfish.
