In this episode Tom and Bert discuss their picks of the Best Movies for the decade of the '70's.
Another strong decade of movies. Box office smashes like the Godfather, Jaws, Star Wars, Alien and Halloween brought movie goers out in droves. We were still a few years away from the Multiplex Theatres so you had to wait in long lines to purchase tickets and hope for the best that a good seat was available.
Tom has a great connections to the movie "Patton" starring George C Scott and it is great to hear him tell that quick story.
The late '70's was the advent of the slasher movies genre. "Halloween" led the way in 1978 followed by the likes of "Friday the 13th" and "Nightmare on Elm Street." These movies spawned 100's of these type of movies and still are going strong today with the "Scream" series leading the way.
We were also introduced to the Sci-Fi thriller movies like "Alien" which personally scared the hell out of Bert.
As the pod continues, Bert hits up to two Comedy classics that are cult movies to this day, "Young Frankenstein" and "Animal House".
Tom and Bert then close out the podcast discussing the "Worst" movies of the decade in their humble opinions.
