Janet Sanchez is an Army wife, a two-term MFAN advisor, and the founder and president of Esposas Militares Hispanas USA, a nonprofit that offers information in Spanish about military benefits and services to Hispanic military families.
Esposas Militares Hispanas works to overcome the language barriers that might prevent Spanish-speaking families from accessing the resources available to members of the military community.
What started as an informal support group among friends budded into a large-scale non-profit that has made a huge impact on hundreds of families.
