Scott Savory was born on the Caribbean island of Guyana. he started racing at a young age. At 18 he left the island moved to New York City. Once he moved to the Big Apple he didn't race right away. A chance meeting with a manager at his job got him back on the bike. Then another chance meeting with some Guyanese rider gave him direction. He began racing the classics of New York like Floyd Bennett Field, Prospect Park, Mengoni GP to Grants Tomb. Scott says the one team he wanted to ride for was the fames Mengoni team. He says he was obsessed with joining the team. And he got on the team. He rode for Mengoni for nearly five years and several other teams after. And then he walked away from racing. Scott says cycling became all too consuming and he wanted to see what else life had to offer. So, he focused on real estate and traveling. three years on and he's back to racing with fresh new desire and understanding.
