There's a lot of great people out there that want to help you live a better life or solve any kind of problem or struggle you may be facing right now. Although this is admirable, a lot of these people are more blind guides than teachers that are good to follow. It's best to lean on the Lord and get help from these sources as needed.
It's tough to do that though! I have a self-development podcast myself and I've fallen into the trap of asking Google or looking at My Subscriptions feed on YouTube with different podcasts to find answers. The scriptures have plenty of warnings on not putting man's wisdom above God's, and in not being led away by blind guides.
I dove more into this topic and shared some personal stories from my life that I thought may be helpful. The Flecks of Gold podcast has been on hiatus for a little bit but I've recently had a serious second wind with it.
