On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are trying not to become a spider’s next hot meal in the Ellory Elkayem film from 2002, Eight Legged Freaks.
If there’s any lesson we all can take from these B-movie bonus episodes it’s that we should listen to the nerdy kids a whole lot more. They usually have exactly the right ideas. Instead, what, we’re supposed to fall in line with the brooding hunk?
How is that the right idea? What the heck does that guy know about fighting off hordes of mutant spider monsters? Exactly nothing, I tell ya. Nothing!
You should probably also find the nearest woman in authority because she’s got her head on straight. She’s probably also a badass with a gun who won’t hesitate to lead a crowd of people to safety.
Heck, you could probably also find the local conspiracy theory nut who’s broadcasting on their own pirate radio signal from a camper in the middle of a desert. There’s a better the fair chance that he’ll at least know when to run away.
Look, all I’m saying is, and I mean no disrespect, if you find yourself face to face with a horde of murderous spider monsters, don’t follow David Arquette anywhere. Run the other way and you’ll probably be all right.
