On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are getting it on with possessed furniture and yes you read that right—people are having sex with couches and recliners. It’s a weird world out there! We watched the Bearnie Rao film from 2021, Killer Sofa.
Let’s get this out of the way first: The thing isn’t actually a sofa. It’s a recliner. Killer Recliner wouldn’t have quite the same ring. We get it, but we know some of you dear listeners are sticklers for the truth. What can we say? They must do things differently in New Zealand.
Now… There’s a recliner that kills people. Straight up creeps on them, stabs them with its pointy springs, and murders them with an impressive amount of animosity. You don’t want to get on this thing’s bad side.
Frankly, I think that’s easy enough to do. Just don’t sit on the thing or hang out with Francesca. Those two simple actions will make your life 100% less filled with killer furniture. You probably already have a sofa; go sit on that one instead.
By the end of this episode, we’ll give this film our B-movie rating. Will it be a blunder, a flunder, or will it be brilliant? The answer may surprise you!
