The United States was once considered one of the world leaders in promoting human rights by funding and engaging in multilateral institutions such as the UN Human Rights Council. However, according to the Center for American Progress, the Trump administration’s attention toward human rights is at a record low both at home and abroad. Furthermore, Covid-19 and government responses worldwide also pose another threat to human rights. What will the future of human rights be? Stay tuned to listen to H.E.
