Chuck Provow, a USMC Korean War Veteran and recipient of the Atomic Commemorative Service medal shared his incredible story with us. Serving on the U.S.S. Curtiss, his mission was to protect assets near the Marshall Islands, which were located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Those assets turned out to be hydrogen bombs capable of much more devastation than those dropped in Japan in 1945. Chuck was one of 100 young Marines hand picked for the mission. Really an incredible story. Share with friends and follow us on Facebook at Veterans Helping Heroes.
