Description

After dancing in front of 108,000 people last year, Michael Galyean became more than an internet sensation - he became a symbol of joy. Michael is a choreographer and dance company advisor for the Boss Dance Company at the University of Tennessee and a lifelong advocate for dance education.

Host Chris McAdoo sat down with Michael to find out how he went from a 22-year career in retail to being the "Dancing Blue Shirt Guy." They discuss Michael's experience using his platform to promote Knoxville, the queer community, and keeping dance alive. Plus, advice for how to take care of your inner child, and how to support kids who feel like they don't fit in.

A big thanks to Michael for joining the podcast this week and sharing his story.
