Life as a Clerk for a solicitor in Cairns to spotting the chopper pilot and falling in love in her early 20’s Kim Hughes took a leap into agricultural life. A young family at foot and busy in the paddock, it was Kim’s involvement in the ICPA which took her to new heights. In 2011 Kim joined Queensland State Council where she held the Curriculum, Specific Needs and Distance Education portfolios. Kim became a Vice President in 2012 and was elected Queensland State President from 2015 – 2018. Kim is a fierce advocate for education in the bush.
