The family, friends and neighbors of Richard Kuklinski would
describe him as a loving, devoted husband and father who was living
the American dream in the suburbs of New Jersey. However, Kuklinski
would be living a double life. To the criminal underworld and his
victims, he was known a ruthless and brutal hitman for the mafia.
Although law enforcement and organized crime experts have expressed
skepticism about Kuklinski’s claiming to have ties with the Mafia. On May 25, 1988, Richard Kuklinski dubbed as the Iceman by authorities was co convicted of 5 murders but, claimed to have killed at least 250. He was given a sentence of life in prison ending his 30-year reign of cold-blooded murders. So, was Richard Kuklinski a chronic liar who was one of the most dangerous killers that New Jersey would ever come across, or one of the most heinous mass murders in history?
