Welcome to episode 6 of The Life Right Here podcast - we’re back in lecture mode today to discuss all things sleep.
This is a topic very important to me as I’ve been a very light sleeper my whole life - being a highly sensitive person has a lot to do with that - and it became particularly important to me during those post-partum months when my beautiful baby (now 12 year old) Mali was a very erratic sleeper which had a huge impact on my physical and mental health.
I’ve experienced first hand what severe sleep deprivation can do. And I’m now coming into a phase of life at nearly 45 where sleep can also be impacted by common peri-menopausal symptoms like hot flashes and insomnia - it’s not happening yet but I’m highly aware it’s coming and I want to take great care to navigate this appropriately to safeguard my wellbeing and in turn that of my family.
