Mark Bloomfield interviews Congressman Marc Veasey (D-TX) who represents the 33rd Congressional District in Texas, which has a diverse population—15% white, 10% black and 70% Hispanic—providing a very interesting perspective on the COVID economy. It is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, home to much of the oil and gas industry that has been devastated by the pandemic. Rep. Veasey serves on the Energy & Commerce and Small Business, both with important jurisdiction in our economic recovery He belongs to the Congressional Black Caucus and the New Democrat Coalition. He is a co-founder and co-chairman of the Blue-Collar Caucus.
