THE DEMANDS OF TRUE DISCIPLESHIP

Main Point: True discipleship is a life-long, intentional pursuit of Jesus Christ, and a continual surrender to His will.

1. COME AND SEEJohn 1:35-40

Principle: Being a disciple begins with accepting the invitation to come to Jesus, but it doesn’t end there.

1. GO AND TELLJohn 1:41-51

Principle:  True disciples spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

1. LOVE AND OBEYJohn 13:35, 14:15-16

Principle: Love for God and obedience to His commands are foundational to true discipleship.

1. SURRENDER AND SACRIFICE John 20:24-29; John 21:18-19

Principle:  True Discipleship requires surrender and sacrifice.
