Restoration of Faith – Job 42:1-6
(John 16:33; 1 Peter 5:8; Isaiah 55:8-9; James 1:5; 1 John 1:9)
- Confession of faith – God’s thoughts and ways cannot be stopped.
- What areas of your life do you find your faith struggling?
- Confession of sin – God offers wisdom freely; we need to ask because too many words get us in trouble.
- What areas do you feel God saying put a hand over your mouth and stop talking?
- Confession of ignorance – We must admit that we aren’t God, nor are we called to be God.
- How do you need to see God more sincerely for who He is?
- Confession of humility – We won’t quit our sin until we hate it.
Restoration of Friendships – John 42:7-9
(Psalm 37:6; James 4:10; Ephesians 4:32)
- God is just - God is just and we have to trust His scales are never out of balance.
- God is the ultimate judge - We always only have an audience of one!
- Do you often get distracted by others’ opinions or comparisons?
- God demonstrates justice - Forgiveness is about our heart attitude.
- Have you forgotten how much you have been forgiven?
“If God says, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant’, it is of little consequence who says otherwise.” ~ Matthew Henry
Restoration of Family and Fortune – Job 42:10-7
(James 5:11; James 1:12; Psalm 73:26)
- Trusting God creates restoration, not answers.
- What do you need to let go of and instead trust God more?
- True focus changes our perspective.
- Let’s become Christians that learn to handle hard better!
**Today, let’s celebrate the one true suffering servant, Jesus, whose desire is to save us all from our sin, have a relationship with Him and give us eternal life with Him in Heaven. **
