The final group match of the Champions League group stage was concluded with a 1-1 draw. While many were anticipating some appearances from any of the academy kids, the reality was not there to make everything align for them. Arsenal fielded most of the available fringe players mixed with the steady defensive starters and a competition debut for Ramsdale. Given the lack of chemistry between the fringe players, it showed in the game as it took a while to grow and gain momentum. So much disjointed flow going forward while enduring most of the game's minutes defending and absorbing PSV's pressure.
I expected a bit more flashes from other player who had some recent game rotations. Yet they did not make it to my top 3 performance - including my odd 1. Nevertheless the team should be proud in their achievement so far with a game to spare. This was a game with less pressure and minimal complains. So listen and enjoy. Well done boys! Up the Arsenal!
