Fire needs oxygen to continue burning.
Oxygen is an essential part of a fire and part of the “fire triangle” that sustains a fire. With enough oxygen in the atmosphere, the fire is sustained and can continue to burn its fuel supply.
Without air, there is no fire.
Air is what keeps the fire going, keeps the flame high.
fire represents the presence of God.
The Holy Spirit is known as the air or breath of GOD.
Jesus' likening the Holy Spirit to wind or breath also echoes the Spirit's power as the life-giving force of creation.
And Jesus makes clear to Nicodemus that the Spirit gives life to people who are spiritually dead.
We believe that the right person will hear the right message at the right time.
